ADI introduces RF design tools to support Hittite microwave products

     Analog Devices Inc. of Norwood, MA (ADI), USA (which provides integrated circuits for analog and digital signal processing applications) today announced its RF design tool, which now offers a new version of the product support of Hittites Microwave Inc. (acquired in July 2014).

     The ADIsimRF design tool enables engineers from across ADI's RF IC portfolio to use devices to simulate RF and microwave signal chains. Version of ADIsimRF 1.9 adds 190 mixers, amplifiers, switches and attenuators, which are mainly from Hittite combinations. The ADIsimPLL design tool is a comprehensive and easy-to-use PLL (phase-locked loop) synthesizer design and simulation tool. Version 4 of ADIsimPLL has been upgraded to include PLL and VCO integrated (VCO) device models for HMC703 and HMC704 and HMC830, HMC832, ADF4355, ADF4355-2, and ADF5355.

     As a result of the acquisition of Hittite, ADI claims that it now offers a broad portfolio of RF and microwave products covering the entire signal chain, from antennas to bits and backs, in the entire spectrum beyond 100GHz. Through data converters, ADI's RF, microwave, and millimeter wave portfolio includes more than 2,000 products ranging from functional modules to highly integrated solutions, development platforms, and modules.
