Infineon Technologies has released XENSIV sensor shielding for Arduino
Infineon Technologies has released XENSIV Sensor Shield for Arduino, a multifunctional tool for evaluating smart sensor systems in smart homes and various consumer applications. This innovative shield includes a variety of sensors from the company's portfolio, as well as the SHT35 humidity and temperature sensor, which simplifies its functionality and enhances the design journey for Infineon's customers. By taking full advantage of Infineon microcontrollers, wireless connectivity and security chips, design engineers can evaluate, prototype and develop sensor-based applications more quickly. As such, it serves as an excellent platform to accelerate innovation in sensor-driven solutions.

With the new protective cover, customers solving smart home applications such as HVAC will have the opportunity to grow within the Infineon ecosystem and gain access to additional sensors in addition to Infineon's portfolio of consumer sensors such as microphones, pressure sensors, carbon dioxide and radar sensors.
As a fully integrated development platform, the tool enables seamless hardware interoperability between multiple Infineon MCUS and sensors. Featured sensors include XENSIV 60GHz radar, PAS CO2, pressure, PDM microphones, IMU accelerometers, and Sensiv SHT35 humidity and temperature sensors. The shield integrates seamlessly with Infineon's MCU suite and provides easy access via an Arduino Uno connector. As part of Infineon's ongoing commitment to provide complete system solutions, the shield has been designed and optimized to work with target MCUS in Infineon's product line, such as PSoC 6, AIROC Bluetooth SoCs and Wi-Fi MCUS.
To speed time to market and improve customer experience while working within Infineon's ecosystem, the tool is fully supported to work with the ModusToolbox software development platform to simplify software integration. ModusToolbox provides a comprehensive development environment: a unified platform that integrates all the tools and resources needed for embedded system development. Includes code generation and configuration wizards to automate repetitive tasks and simplify complex configurations. The ModusToolbox development ecosystem was created based on project requirements and changing requirements, providing developers with the basic libraries and code samples needed to quickly build a variety of applications.
Designers can also take advantage of the tool's sensors in machine learning use cases, leveraging Infineon Microcontrollers, ModusToolbox and Imagimob machine learning with their extensive sensor capabilities and Sensirion's temperature and humidity sensors
