Infineon introduces the iMotionTM Modular Application Design suite
Infineon Technologies introduces the iMotion Modular Application Design Suite (MADK). This flexible, compact evaluation system provides a scalable design platform for 3-phase motor drives (power range 20W-300W). It includes a control card and a power board - sensorless or optional. With this kit, a fully functional motor system can be put into operation in less than an hour, helping to achieve rapid market time. The designer can drive the motor in just a few steps: insert the card into the PC, connect the motor, download, install the software, and adjust the parameters.
Infineon offers four kits to match different motor designs. Each kit includes a control card with debugging interface, complete power board including rectifier and EMI filter. The motor control software is pre-installed or available for download, and its easy-to-use GUI allows you to set and adjust software parameters. With the standardised M1 20-pin MADK platform interface connector, different combinations of control cards and power boards can be implemented to match different application requirements.
Field Oriented Control (FOC) software based on XMC1302 microcontroller supports sensorless motor control. The hardware also supports the use of Hall sensors or innovative 3D magnetic sensors. The XMC1302 control card includes a debugging tool based on Segger J-Link technology. The tool supports GUI software based on uC-Probe. In addition, you can use Infineon's free integrated development environment, DAVE? Or take advantage of the other major ARM® development environments Keil, IAR or Atollic for further application development.
