KEMET continues to expand its industry-leading portfolio of high-voltage multilayer ceramic capacitors

     KEMET announced the expansion of its surface-mount high-voltage multilayer ceramic capacitor portfolio by adding the EIA 0603 housing size (1608 metric) with C0G temperature characteristics. These devices offer the smallest sizes in their class, allowing designers to continue to meet the trend toward miniaturization in their designs while still maintaining operating voltages up to 1000VDC. This announcement complements the ArcShield X7R 0603 capacitor, which won the Passive and Mechatronics of the Year award at the 2016 Elektra Awards.

     KEMET also announced an expanded capacitance range for the EIA 0805-1812 housing size. Compared to Kimi's previous portfolio, devices with voltage ratings of 500, 630 and 1000VDC now offer an average of three times more maximum capacitance.

     Using patented base metal electrode (BME) technology, the C0G high voltage series offers excellent stability - no capacitance change relative to DC voltage and negligible capacitance change with temperature. This range is available in commercial and automotive grades, as well as standard and flexible terminal systems, and is lead-free, RoHS and REACH compliant.
