     Microchip Technology has announced the Microchip Graphics Suite (MGS), an easy-to-learn, comprehensive solution that integrates GUIs, animations, and images into touchscreen displays. The suite is supported by a variety of development tools, including MPLAB Harmony v3, MPLAB Code Configurator, and the company's mainstream Linux distributions for 32-bit MCUS and MPUs.

     Developing GUIs can be complex and lengthy, requiring a lot of time and resources to debug and integrate code from various tools. MGS is designed for easy integration with the company's 32-bit MCUS and MPUs and supports multiple development platforms, including MPLAB Harmony v3 and Linux environments. This comprehensive solution for building GUI interfaces is designed to help designers improve reusability across projects and simplify design complexity.

     The solution provides a combination of tools, including simulators for hardware-free prototypes. By leveraging the MPLAB Code Configurator (MCC), the emulator can build the McC-generated C code in web or native mode. In web mode, the tool creates an HTML file that can run on most web browsers and has simulated touch interaction. In native mode, the emulator allows GUI debugging on a Windows desktop computer. These features facilitate accurate display and functional presentation independent of hardware availability.

     MGS provides an intuitive WYSIWYG interface with a modern design that allows users to see and manipulate the final output directly, reducing errors and increasing efficiency. To make the gui more accessible, it is generic and can support a variety of devices with different performance. They can be resource-constrained devices with particularly low memory and system performance requirements, or they can be high-performance devices that support tablet-sized touch screens with high-fidelity video playback capabilities.
