Molex announces Brad Micro-Push M12 connectors for factory automation and industrial lighting applications

     Molex Corporation announces Brad Micro-Push M12 connectors for factory automation and industrial lighting applications. The connector is equipped with an innovative push-in and push-out interface, which reduces installation time by up to 80% compared to screw connectors, and allows convenient blind insertion connections in limited Spaces. The solution is constructed without any metal components to achieve excellent sealing performance that meets IP65 specifications while also reducing material costs.

     Nathan Caughel, global product Manager at Molex, said: "Cost-cutting is an issue across the board, forcing Oems and system integrators to find new ways to save money. In certain applications, IP65-rated connectors can provide adequate protection, but without the proven M12 version of the product, many applications must switch to the more expensive and complex IP67 option. "Brad Micro-Push can provide a very high level of M12 connection performance without some unnecessary features, which can solve these problems, help reduce material costs and simplify the assembly process."

     The connector meets IP65 NEMA standard protection requirements to prevent solid intrusion and withstand low pressure water flow. The product also features a thread-free coupling design that avoids reverse threading problems in high-vibration environments, reducing downtime and further saving costs. Visual and touch keyway alignment ensures perfect interface pairing for excellent vibration resistance, while non-metallic couplings mitigate grounding and electrostatic discharge problems. The Brad-Micro Push also has backward compatibility with the original M12 connector.
