New models of the Vishay OSOP series SMD dual linear thin film network resistors offer increased accuracy

     Vishay Intertechnology has announced the introduction of new JEDEC MO-137 variation AB and AE compliant 16pin and 24pin versions, expanding its OSOP series of surface-mount dual inline thin film network resistors in a 25mil pin-pitch QSOP package. Vishay Dale thin film network resistors are available in isolated, shared end-PIN and custom circuitry with resistance relative tolerances of ±0.025% and relative TCR as low as ±5ppm/ ° C to achieve higher accuracy than competing devices.

     The network resistor is suitable for precision voltage dividers and operational amplifiers with a maximum band base height of 1.73mm and a pin pitch of 25mil, which is 50% less board space than today's standard-pitch devices. Typical applications include telecommunications, industrial, process control, and medical devices.

     In isolated circuits, the 16pin and 24pin resistance networks have 8 or 12 resistors, respectively, each with a resistance value ranging from 500Ω to 100kΩ and a power class of 100mW. In a circuit that shares the last pin, the device has either 7 or 11 resistors. The network resistor uses a durable moulded housing construction with no solder paste inside and an absolute TCR of ±25ppm/ ° C and a resistance ratio of ±0.015% can be maintained for 2000 hours at 70 ° C.

     The noise of the resistor is extremely low, less than -30dB, the voltage coefficient is less than 0.1ppm/V, and the operating temperature range is -55 ° C ~ +125 ° C. OSOP series is RoHS compliant and halogen-free.
