Qorvo Introduces a new line of power amplifiers (PA) with industry-leading efficiency for small cell base station applications

     Qorvo, a leading provider of RF solutions for mobile, infrastructure and aerospace and defense applications, announced a new family of power amplifiers (PA) with industry-leading efficiency for small cell base station applications. Small cell solutions increase the capacity of mobile networks and are a key part of improving network performance.

     The TQP9309, TQP9321 and TQP9326 product families cover all major 3GPP bands in the 700-2700 MHz frequency range. In fact, each product delivers more than 27 dBm of output power over a wide operating frequency range, which can be used in multiple frequency bands and is suitable for different regions of the world.

     These multistage PA's provide high gain, are packaged in a small surface mount and require few external components to operate, enabling very compact system designs. Power added efficiency (PAE) of up to 27% at 27 dBm output power; The linearized 20 MHz LTE signal meets the base station PA requirements of -50 dBc ACLR. The high efficiency of these power amplifiers makes small cell base stations more suitable for Power over Ethernet (POE) applications.
