     Vector is working with QNX, which will pave the way for ASIL D for SDVS. In collaboration, Vector provides a QNX operating system integration, corresponding interfaces, and a security case. Oems and Tier-1s can now easily develop AutoSAR-based applications with MICROSAR Adaptive Safe on QNX OS for Safety, while benefiting from pre-aligned and industry-certified safety concepts to produce safe, high-performance systems for SDVS.

     Grant Couville, vice president of product and strategy at blackberry QNX, said: "This partnership is an important step towards enabling software-defined cars. We are working closely with Vector to deliver pre-integrated products that realize the benefits of combining QNX OS for Safety with MICROSAR Adaptive Safe for our mutual customers."

     Performance was always a key requirement for Vector when integrating AUTOSAR adaptive into the QNX operating system. Therefore, in order to meet these performance requirements, a specific QNX operating system abstraction layer has been developed that uses native QNX API system calls.
