Vishay introduces new high-performance resistors

     Vishay Intertechnolog has announced the launch of its new surface mount Power Metal Strip resistor, the WSLP2512, in the 2512 form factor, with a power of up to 3W and an extremely low resistance of 0.0005Ω.

     The advanced construction of the WSLP2512 resistor includes a low TCR(< 20PPM/ C) solid Metal nickel chromium or manganese copper resistance core, and specially selected and stabilized materials, so that this high Power resistance operating temperature range of -65 ° C to +170 ° C, while maintaining the excellent electrical characteristics of the Power Metal Strip structure.

     The new device enables the use of smaller resistors for high-power circuits in high-performance end products. Moreover, the resistance's high temperature performance enables the WSLP2512 to operate in harsh, high temperature environments without sacrificing power levels or electrical performance.

     Vishay's resistors are suitable for all types of current detection and pulse applications, including switching and linear power supplies, instrumentation, power amplifiers, and shitter resistors in automotive electronic controls such as engines, anti-lock systems, and climate control.
