A new generation of digital car keys with higher positioning accuracy and security

     Qorvo announced that, based on Qorvo DW3300Q platform, the Internet of Things and Internet of vehicles solutions provider, Weyuan Communication recently launched the vehicle gauge level module AU30Q, which supports ultra-wideband connection (UWB) technology, providing indoor and outdoor real-time precise positioning and reliable wireless communication functions for the new generation of automotive digital keys and other scenarios.

     Using the Qorvo DW3300Q platform, which complies with the AEC-Q100 standard, the AU30Q supports UWB channel 5 (6.5 GHz) and channel 9 (8 GHz) and provides data transfer rates of 850 Kbps and 6.8 Mbps. This module CAN be flexibly adapted to an external MCU with CAN or Bluetooth connectivity to accommodate any possible architectural requirements in the car. Modular UWB solutions can help automotive customers deploy their solutions more efficiently, save development resources, remove complex RF and antenna design barriers for customers, and significantly reduce time-to-market compared to direct on-chip solutions.

     The AU30Q supports a new generation of digital keys and car access guards, and its UWB technology protects the vehicle from attacks by allowing it to know the true location of the owner through real-time ultra-precise distance measurement between the vehicle and the owner's keychain, smartphone or smartwatch. For these applications, AU30Q fully complies with the latest standards set by the global Digital Key standardization organization Car Connectivity Consortium (CCC), and is compatible with different auto manufacturers and smartphone Oems. It also fully meets the requirements of China's leading digital car key standardization organization, the Industrial Ecological Alliance for Intelligent Vehicles (ICCE). In addition, the module complies with the FiRa™ PHY and MAC specifications, enabling interoperability with other FiRa™ -compatible devices.
