Allegro MicroSystems, LLC introduces the two-wire differential speed and direction sensor IC ATS699, which combines a newly optimized Hall-effect integrated circuit with rare-earth pellets. Provides a user-friendly solution for direction detection and true zero-speed, digital gear speed sensing.

     Allegro MicroSystems, LLC introduces the two-wire differential speed and direction sensor IC ATS699, which combines a newly optimized Hall-effect integrated circuit with rare-earth pellets. Provides a user-friendly solution for direction detection and true zero-speed, digital gear speed sensing.

     The ATS699 has a small package and can be easily assembled and used in applications related to tooth sensing of various gears. The new IC also uses patented algorithms for the special requirements of automotive gearboxes and travel campervan applications, and it can also be used in non-automotive applications such as white goods, sports and industrial equipment.

     The speed and direction of the target to be measured can be transmitted using a variable pulse width output protocol. The ATS699 is particularly suitable for use in vibratory situations without affecting the maximum air gap capacity or producing any wrong "directional" pulses. The ATS699 is able to completely eliminate the effects of large angular vibrations even when the engine is started.

     Advanced vibration detection algorithms can systematically calibrate the sensor IC according to the initial teeth of the real target rotation without vibration interference, thus guaranteeing accurate signals at all times in operating mode. The ATS699's advanced signal processing and innovative algorithms make it an ideal solution for a variety of speed and direction sensing applications.
