Dialog has introduced its latest compact PMIC for increasing power efficiency in digital cameras

     Dialog Semiconductor, a supplier of highly integrated power management, charging, AC/DC power conversion and Bluetooth Low Power (BLE) technologies, announced the DA6102, a highly integrated power management IC(PMIC) complete power solution for digital single-lens reflex (DSLR) cameras, mirrorless cameras and multi-core lithium-ion battery applications. The DA6102's conversion efficiency exceeds that of competing solutions, saving more battery power, enabling 2S lithium-ion applications to run longer, and reducing heat in the confined and confined Spaces inside such consumer electronics devices.

     The DA6102 contains two step-down converters, a step-down converter, a high-current step-down controller, and two alway on-low voltage drop linear regulators (Ldos). Fets with very low on-resistance (RDSon) help buck and lift converters achieve industry-leading efficiencies of up to 94%. A high degree of integration and efficiency, combined with switching frequencies of up to 3 MHz, enables the smallest PCB board size, the smallest number of external components and the thinnest thickness, achieving space savings of up to 50% compared to competing solutions. The I2C interface allows for flexible and simple configuration of output voltage, switching frequency, power timing and fault protection. In addition, most features can be configured in a one-time programmable (OTP) manner, allowing for easy output voltage and start sequence Settings.
