KEMET announces the launch of a new automotive grade film capacitor

     KEMET announces the launch of a new range of automotive grade metallized polypropylene film capacitors. F863 Class X2 miniature capacitors are specifically designed to provide stable performance for safety applications in harsh environments and harsh environmental conditions. This new class of devices is suitable for automotive and industrial applications. It provides cross-line electromagnetic interference (EMI) and radio frequency interference (RFI) filtering for a growing number of automotive electronics applications as well as indoor applications with mains connections such as capacitive power supplies.

     The F863 series meets AEC-Q200 certification requirements with capacitance values ranging from 0.1pF to 10uF and rated voltages up to 310VAC. The new RFIX2 capacitors are fully approved and have an operating temperature range of -40° C to +110 ° C.

     The metallized polypropylene film dielectric has excellent self-healing properties. In addition, Kimi's designers have enhanced the main components in this capacitor family to help overcome traditional capacitance loss mechanisms. With these improvements, the F863 series offers extremely high capacitance stability while meeting international safety requirements such as ENEC, CUL and CQC.
