M12 connector for signal, data, and power

     Binder has extended several M12 family automation technologies with multiple products. Applications range from basic sensor/actuator wiring to industrial measurement and control techniques and industrial Ethernet to autonomous or cooperative robots. Product development is based on the requirements of the m12 related DIN EN IEC 61076-2 standard. It follows current trends in miniaturization, use variability, and cost efficiency.

     As with all of the company's M12 products, these products meet at least IP67 protection levels. They are mechanically rugged and developed to be user safe due to coding. Several shielded or shieldable product versions are offered for use in industrial environments with electromagnetic loads. All M12 connectors provide minimum IP67 dust and water protection. Special versions of IP68 and IP69K are also available for demanding sanitary applications.

     Depending on the design, connectors are tailored for different application scenarios: versions with special terminals, such as crimp or wire clamp technology, are ideal for vibration applications; Others are ideal for outdoor use, for example, against ultraviolet radiation. Plastic, metal or stainless steel case depending on application field. This year, the company announced further development of its push-pull locking and M12 single-cable solutions. M12 connectors for extrapolation locking are being developed.

     This variant complements the M12 threaded product with a push-pull lock in the M12 design. When the plug is pressed on, the cable side locks with the device side instead of being screwed together. Designed in accordance with DIN EN IEC 61076-2-010, the product provides backward-compatible M12 screw locking on the device side and represents a very flexible and time-saving connection concept
