Microchip Introduces New devices to protect IP and deploy secure networking systems

     From remote cyber attacks to the manufacture of counterfeit products, security threats are spreading more widely and affecting all industries. These threats, if carried out, mean significant losses in recovery costs, service revenue, and, most obviously, brand equity. As a result, strong security features are implemented in new and existing designs to protect intellectual property (IP). And enable trusted authentication for connected devices, which is critical. To protect against these threats, Microchip Technology announced the ATECC608A CryptoAuthenticationTM device, a security element that allows developers to add hardware-based security features to their designs. Microchip has also established a Security Design Partner program to help developers connect with third-party partners to enhance and accelerate security design.

     In addition to providing hardware security solutions, customers can join Microchip's Security Design Partner program. These industry-leading companies, including Amazon Web Services (AWS) and Google Cloud Platform, offer complementary cloud-driven security models and infrastructure. Other partners are well versed in implementing Microchip's security devices and libraries. Whether designers are securing Internet of Things (IoT) applications or adding authentication capabilities to consumables such as ink cartridges or accessories, they reduce development costs and time to market with the expertise of a secure design partner.
