On Semiconductor expands its lineup of optical anti-shake products to provide outstanding picture quality for applications with built-in cameras

     Driving energy efficient innovation, ON Semiconductor adds a next-generation optical stabilization (OIS)/ Autofocus (AF) driver, LC898123AXD, to its lineup to deliver the best digital camera and video experience for smartphones, tablets, laptops and wearables. The performance limitations of traditional camera modules are overcome by the use of advanced autofocus and optical stabilization technology.

     The LC898123AXD OIS/AF driver integrates a digital signal processing (DSP) core and multiple analog peripherals for image stabilization, autofocus control, and H-bridge and constant current drives. The addition of on-chip flash memory provides storage for DSP programs and calibration parameters, thus saving 90% of the time required to load from traditional memory at startup. This highly integrated solution accelerates the application of OIS and AF functions to the camera module while being compatible with a wide range of image sensors. In addition, highly integrated features support the need for extremely thin camera modules.
