Renesas Bluetooth Low Power module provides support for iot system control

     Renesas ElectronicsRX23W module. The module integrates an antenna and oscillator in a 6.1mm × 9.5mm compact package to provide comprehensive low power Bluetooth 5.0 support for system control and wireless communication for Internet of Things (IoT) terminal devices. The module integrates an RX23W microcontroller to support full low-power Bluetooth 5.0 communication, including long-distance transmission, 2Mbps data throughput, and reception sensitivity at 125kbps for −105dBm.

     The module uses Renesas' Trusted Secure IP security feature to provide strong protection against security threats such as eavesdropping, tampering, and viruses. The RX23W module is certified by the Radio Law of Japan, FCC/ISED in North America, CE and Bluetooth SIG in Europe, eliminating the need for additional RF design and tuning work, as well as the need for RF expertise, reducing new product development time.

     Applications of the RX23W module include healthcare, smart home appliances, building automation, PC and smartphone peripherals, industrial and Internet of Things design. For developers, Maoze also stocks the RX23W module target board, which integrates the RX23W module, two 36-pin connectors for accessing all signals, and USB ports for connecting to the PC for programming and debugging.
