Richtek's RT6052 monitor features a built-in leak-open comparator and an internal benchmark that provides a 0.6V threshold
Richtek's RT6052 high voltage side shunt monitor includes a current detection amplifier, band gap reference, and a comparator with latch output. It detects voltage drop on the shunt at common-mode voltages from 2 V to 80 V and supports a 100 V/V output voltage range.
The RT6052 has a built-in leak comparator and an internal benchmark that provides a threshold of 0.6V. External voltage divider sets the current jump point. Comparators have latches that can be easily achieved by grounding the RESET pin (or keeping it open). The RT6052 comes in a small 8-pin MSOP package.
