ScioSense's AS6031 provides a compact design and minimizes BOM for modern ultrasonic flow conversion applications

Built on ScioSense's successful TDC-GP30 platform, the AS6031 is the next generation of ultrasonic flow converters for water and heat meter applications. Its sophisticated high-performance front end drives sensors and processes received signals to extract time-of-flight (ToF) information. In addition, programmable gain amplifiers can handle weaker receive amplitudes, while phase modulation provides greater robustness for the system's first hit level detection.

The integrated low-power CPU combines sophisticated flow calculations with precise measurement fronts to provide outstanding low-flow detection capabilities down to leak levels. Users can use an external microcontroller to process data through SPI, or they can use an integrated standard pulse interface. Ultra-low power consumption allows battery-powered devices to last for years. With all the integrated features and QFN48 package, the AS6031 provides a compact design and minimizes overall BOM for modern ultrasonic flow conversion applications.

The AS6031F1 comes with protected traffic firmware from ScioSense, programmed into the NVRAM. These algorithms, along with proper calibration and operational parameters, enable the chip to perform complete flow and volume calculations, as well as error handling.
