Sensirion's SHT40 Generation 4 humidity sensing is ideal for high-volume applications

The SHT40 is one of the Sensirion's industry-proven humidity and temperature sensors with an excellent value for money ratio. The roll-and-tape package, combined with its applicability to standard SMD assembly processes, makes SHT4x ideal for high-volume applications.

The SHT40 is built on a new optimized CMOS chip that reduces power consumption and improves accuracy specifications. They feature an extended supply voltage range of 1.08V to 3.6V, ideal for mobile and battery-powered applications. As demonstrated by the JEDEC JESD47 certification, the ultra-small size in the rugged DFN case can be integrated into challenging designs while meeting the highest reliability requirements.

High-precision versions of the SHT41 and SHT45 will be available in 2021. They feature improved typical and maximum accuracy (up to ∆RH = ± 1.5% RH and ∆T = ± 0.1°C, respectively) for the most demanding applications in all industries. 2021 will also bring additional protection options to round out the portfolio to meet the toughest technical challenges. The filter membrane in the package ensures that the exposed design meets IP67 standards, while the protection option ensures a reliable form coating.
