TDK introduces S2 safety grade ultra compact motor running capacitors

TDK plans to launch its new EPCOS B33331I6 series compact motor running capacitors in September 2023. The new line of capacitors has a safety rating of up to S2, which meets IEC 60335-2-24 standards, and features an ultra-compact aluminum can design, which is expected to be the most compact motor operating capacitor on the market today. Capacitive aluminum cans are only 30 or 35 mm in diameter; Height (including connections) ranges from 73 mm to 103 mm, depending on capacitance. Available in up to 13 models, the new series is designed to operate at 450 V AC@ 50/60 Hz with a coverage capacitance range of 1 µF to 20 µF.

The new line of capacitors is self-healing and resin-filled with built-in overvoltage disconnect protection. The design service life is 10,000 hours @ 450 V AC, the standard terminal is 2+2 fast connector (6.3mm x 0.8mm), and can be customized according to customer specifications. In addition, we will also offer models with M8 bolts at the bottom of the case. All models of the new line of capacitors are UL, VDE and CE certified.These motors operate capacitors in a wide range of applications, typically air compressors in refrigerators and freezers, and industrial pumps.
