The STMicroelectronics STM8S basic series of microcontrollers has been added to withstand high temperatures of 125°C

     The latest microcontrollers in the STM8S basic series are tested at temperatures up to 125°C to ensure excellent heat resistance in applications requiring continuous high temperatures, such as lighting control, motor drives and industrial automation.

     STM8S103F3U3 is equipped with ST's STM8 16MHz 8-bit high performance core and advanced peripheral interface. Including a 10-bit analog-to-digital converter (ADC), two 16-bit capture/compare timers, 8-bit universal timers, UART, SPI and I2C interfaces, the performance and features exceed those of other manufacturers in the market. 8KB flash memory, 1KB RAM, and 640 Bytes EEPROM provide ample on-chip storage for the basic series of target applications.

     The 20-pin UFQFPN20 package is the smallest of the existing STM8S products, with a maximum operating temperature of 125°C. The 3mm x 3mm package makes efficient use of space and provides 16 user I/O lines for easy access to the powerful features of the new microcontroller. In addition, the 2.95V-5.5V wide operating voltage gives the microcontroller the flexibility to connect traditional 5V circuits or low-voltage, low-power logic circuits.

     The new STM8 microcontroller successfully passed the 125°C test process in wafer electrical testing for the package phase (rather than post-package), allowing the proven high parallel final test technology to continue and integrate high-temperature test methods without modification.
