Time domain reflectometer (TDR) type cable length meter
Klein Tools cable length meter is a portable time domain reflectometer (TDR) type cable length tester. It can be used to measure cable length, calibrate propagation velocity (VoP) values, determine the distance to cable fault points, and has built-in tone generation for cable tracking. The tester can realize the accurate length measurement of various types of cable at an affordable price. The package includes test line and carrying case
Features
● Measuring 3,000 feet (914 m) in length, including power, data, dual-wire and Romex cables
● TDR technology measures the fault distance, open circuit, or short circuit on an ended or unended cable
● The VoP values of coaxial, data, Romex, and other multi-wire cables are programmed to achieve accurate length measurements within ±2% + 3' (0.9 m) accuracy
● Store custom cable VoP values for consistently accurate results, as well as saving time
● Full color interactive LCD simple interface
● Tone indicates the unenergized, open state of the wire for wire tracking [analog probe required (sold separately)]
● Coaxial BNC or high quality alligator clips make it easy to achieve fast connections to test most types of cable
● RJ45 jack used to accurately measure the length of the data cable
● Units of measurement can be switched between metric and imperial systems
● Carrying case and wire with padding
