Vishay introduces a new line of automotive grade surface mount standard rectifiers

     Vishay Intertechnology has announced the launch of three new lines of automotive surface mount standard rectifiers --2 A SE20Nx, 3 A SE30Nx and 4 A SE40Nx -- in the industry's most advanced thin wet-able wing DFN3820A package. With reverse voltages of 200 V, 400 V and 600 V, respectively, SE20Nx, SE30Nx and SE40Nx provide a space-saving and efficient solution for power line polarity protection and rail-to-rail protection for commercial, industrial and automotive applications.

     For the first time, the Vishay General Semiconductor rectifier comes in Vishay's new Power DFN Series DFN3820A package with a floor space of 3.8 mm x 2.0 mm and a typical thickness of just 0.88 mm, allowing for more efficient use of PCB space. At the same time, the device's excellent copper design and advanced chip mounting technology achieve excellent thermal performance and increase the rated operating current.

     The SE20Nx, SE30Nx, and SE40Nx are AEC-Q101 certified and offer 12 percent lower height and double current rating than same-occupying SMP (DO-220AA) packaged devices. In addition, the rectifier current rating is equal to or greater than the larger conventional SMB (DO-214AA) and SMC (DO-214AB) packages, And eSMP® series SlimSMA (DO-221AC), SlimSMAW (DO-221AD), SMPA (DO-2212BC), and SMPC (TO-2778A) packaging devices.

     The rectifier is designed with an oxide plane chip junction. The typical reverse leakage current is less than 0.1μA, while the forward voltage is reduced to 0.86V, which helps to reduce power consumption and improve efficiency. Device operating temperature -55 °C to +175 °C, ESD capability in accordance with IEC 61000-4-2 standards (air discharge mode). Rectifiers are ideal for automatic patch pickup processing, with MLS moisture sensitivity of Class 1 as specified in J-STD-020 and a maximum peak LF of 260 °C. Devices comply with RoHS standards and are halogen-free.
