Vishay's new liquid tantalum capacitors can be used in harsh operating environments

     Vishay Intertechnology has announced the introduction of a new series of HI-TMP tantalum shell sealed liquid tantalum capacitors, the T34, which can operate at high temperatures of +200°C. The T34 series axial-lead through-hole devices offer increased reliability, improved resistance to mechanical shock and vibration, and longer service life for industrial and petroleum exploration applications.

     These capacitors are suitable for timing, filtering, energy storage and pulse power applications, and have strong vibration resistance (sinusoidal vibration :80g; Random vibration :54g) and mechanical shock (500g) capability, with a service life of more than 1000 hours at +200C. The T34 series has four form factor codes, A, B, C and D, voltage levels from 25VDC to 125VDC, capacitance from 10uF to 470pF, and Vishay also plans to extend the capacitor to the current Sprague134D series level, capacitance tolerance can reach ±10%, the standard tolerance of ±20%.

     The device operates at temperatures ranging from -55 ° C to +85 ° C, up to +200 ° C after voltage derating, and has a maximum ESR of only 0.75Q at 120Hz and +25 ° C. Capacitors comply with RoHS and Vishay green standards, are halogen-free and have lead-free and tin/lead (Sn/Pb) terminations.
